Avalon Base is a trading name for this website only. It is not a security vendor, a reseller, a certification body or a testing laboratory, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the product manufacturers named on the site.

What the site covers

The subject is consumer mobile security software as it is sold to readers in Australia: what the products in this category do, how the two mobile platforms constrain them, what the terminology on a vendor's feature list means, how subscriptions and renewals work under Australian consumer law, and where to go when something has already gone wrong.

The audience is a person deciding whether to spend money on a subscription, or trying to work out what they have already bought. The site is written for that person, not for a search engine and not for a vendor.

How coverage is decided — the honest version

One product is covered by name on this site: TotalAV. It is covered because MP DOBRA s.r.o. has an affiliate arrangement with the vendor's programme and is paid a commission when a reader subscribes through a link here. That is the entire selection criterion for product coverage, and stating it is more useful than implying a survey of the market that has not been carried out.

The consequence is deliberate: because the selection is commercial, no ranking, score or comparative verdict is published anywhere on this site. There is no "best of" list, no star rating and no table comparing named vendors, because a comparison produced by a publisher paid by one participant would not be evidence of anything. What is published instead is category guidance — definitions, platform limitations, consumer law, reporting routes — that a reader can apply to any vendor's own documentation, including the vendor paying us.

Rules this site applies to itself

How the site is funded

Entirely by affiliate commission from links to TotalAV. There is no advertising network on the site, no sponsored placement sold to third parties, no email list and no paid subscription. The affiliate disclosure page explains the arrangement in full, including what the commission does and does not influence, and the disclosure is repeated in plain language beside every paid link on every page.

What the site collects about you

Nothing, directly. There are no forms and no input fields anywhere on Avalon Base, no newsletter, no account and no chat widget. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, loads no third-party scripts, and stores nothing in your browser. What remains is the ordinary server log kept by the hosting provider, which is described in the privacy policy, and the absence of cookies is explained in the cookie policy.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong, out of date or unclear, write to info@avalonbase.online and say which page and which sentence. Factual corrections are made on the page concerned, and the review date shown in the footer is updated when a page changes. Pages are reviewed periodically because the material they describe — platform behaviour, vendor terms, regulator arrangements — changes over time.

What this site is not

It is not a news publication, and nothing here is presented as reporting. It is not professional security, legal or financial advice; the terms set out the limits. It is not the official site of any product mentioned, and it does not distribute software. Where a reader needs an authoritative answer about a product, that answer lives on the vendor's own site; where a reader needs an authoritative answer about their rights, it lives with the Australian bodies linked throughout these pages.
