Avalon Base is a trading name for this website only. It is not a security vendor, a reseller, a certification body or a testing laboratory, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the product manufacturers named on the site.
What the site covers
The subject is consumer mobile security software as it is sold to readers in Australia: what the products in this category do, how the two mobile platforms constrain them, what the terminology on a vendor's feature list means, how subscriptions and renewals work under Australian consumer law, and where to go when something has already gone wrong.
The audience is a person deciding whether to spend money on a subscription, or trying to work out what they have already bought. The site is written for that person, not for a search engine and not for a vendor.
How coverage is decided — the honest version

- No urgency and no alarm. No countdowns, no stock counters, no simulated scans, no claims about the state of your device. A web page cannot inspect your phone, and a page that behaves as though it can is advertising.
- Sources are linked. Where the site refers to a regulator, a scheme or a legal position, it links the body responsible so you can read the primary material.
How the site is funded
Entirely by affiliate commission from links to TotalAV. There is no advertising network on the site, no sponsored placement sold to third parties, no email list and no paid subscription.
